I Have City Water, I don't Need Water Treatment

I Have City Water, I don't Need Water Treatment - Cascadian Water

Maybe You Don't Need Treatment, Maybe You Do

Why might I need to treat City Water?

In most cases municipal water systems are treated. They are treated for things in water that the EPA deems health hazards, such as: bacteria, arsenic and lead. Municipal systems are not required to treat for “nuisance” contaminants like hardness, iron, and manganese. Municipal systems usually add chlorine to the water. Chlorine is a poison and over chlorination is a possibility.

Because municipalities do not have to treat for nuisance contaminants, that leaves you and your home susceptible to staining, hardness build up and water that smells like chlorine.  Hardness and mineral build up is aesthetically unpleasing and, can shorten the life of your water using appliances, ruin your clothes, cause embarrassing spots and more.

Installing a home water treatment on a municipal supply is an excellent idea and a great way to protect two of your biggest investments, your home and your family.
