A good alternate to the Nuvo H2O

I switched to the Cascadian filter because everytime I change the cartridge on my Nuvo H2O, it gives me a bluish water for at least 2 weeks before it flushes out. Probably it is normal until the contents get activated and flushed. However to me having to consume that as potable water is a concern regardless how reassuring on the negative effect on health. Since replaced it with the Cascadian filter because it fits exactly on the Nuvo cannister. No more green/bluish water and the taste is great. However, the Cascadian being a combination of soft water treatment as well as a filter cartirdge I wonder whether the 1 year lifespan is valid. I'll wait and see how effective it is down the road as it near the 1 year mark. For now, I'm satisfied and vouch for it.

I replaced my Nuvo Manor Filter with the Cascadian Polyhalt filter and it totally solved my problem.

The Nuevo did not work because my PH was too low ( 6.3).
The Polyhalt is great! No hard water residue or water spots on the glass or fixtures!

Simply The Best, Better Than All The Rest

I'm not given to writing reviews since every time we purchase anything the nagging to do so begins. But this review I want to write. Since moving to New Mexico 15 years ago I have purchased various water softening systems: salt, potassium, citrus and a few electromagnetic devices that attach to the pipes. None of them were to my liking. And then I discovered Cascadian Water. I was able to keep the housings from my last system, the NUVO, which was useless, and just replace the cartridges with Cascadians. What followed was more than surprising. There was a definite change in the quality, the feel, the taste of the water, as well as the minimalizing of deposits on everything that comes in contact with water. I replace the cartridges once a year which takes a very short time and little effort. And an important factor is Cascadian is eco-friendly. I recommend Cascasdian Water without any reservations.
