      Where does the ICS system go in my home?

      Where it can fit, and where it can easily get access to your home's water source. This is typically a garage, crawlspace, or even a closet. If you have questions a plumber would be able to help you find the best spot. During maintenance you'll need to fit a bucket and have enough space to turn the sump wrench which comes with your system

      How often do I replace the filters?

      I can't tell any difference between the brands.

      A good alternate to the Nuvo H2O

      I switched to the Cascadian filter because everytime I change the cartridge on my Nuvo H2O, it gives me a bluish water for at least 2 weeks before it flushes out. Probably it is normal until the contents get activated and flushed. However to me having to consume that as potable water is a concern regardless how reassuring on the negative effect on health. Since replaced it with the Cascadian filter because it fits exactly on the Nuvo cannister. No more green/bluish water and the taste is great. However, the Cascadian being a combination of soft water treatment as well as a filter cartirdge I wonder whether the 1 year lifespan is valid. I'll wait and see how effective it is down the road as it near the 1 year mark. For now, I'm satisfied and vouch for it.

      I replaced my Nuvo Manor Filter with the Cascadian Polyhalt filter and it totally solved my problem.

      The Nuevo did not work because my PH was too low ( 6.3).
      The Polyhalt is great! No hard water residue or water spots on the glass or fixtures!

      Simply The Best, Better Than All The Rest

      I'm not given to writing reviews since every time we purchase anything the nagging to do so begins. But this review I want to write. Since moving to New Mexico 15 years ago I have purchased various water softening systems: salt, potassium, citrus and a few electromagnetic devices that attach to the pipes. None of them were to my liking. And then I discovered Cascadian Water. I was able to keep the housings from my last system, the NUVO, which was useless, and just replace the cartridges with Cascadians. What followed was more than surprising. There was a definite change in the quality, the feel, the taste of the water, as well as the minimalizing of deposits on everything that comes in contact with water. I replace the cartridges once a year which takes a very short time and little effort. And an important factor is Cascadian is eco-friendly. I recommend Cascasdian Water without any reservations.

      Great tasting water.

      I haven't been able to drink my water since I put my nuvo system in. Using there softener filter my city water was horrible. With your filter my water is delicious. 5 years of buying bottles of water no more. Thanks.

      Customer service is excellent

      I purchased a filter from them. Shipping was fast but it arrived broken. I contacted their customer service via email and was sent a replacement. The product is not an amazing value but it works.

      Disappointed.

      I still get water spots on dishes and on faucets.

      Works well but seems fragile

      I received my cartridge and immediately went to install it but taking it out of the box I found that my cartridge was broken in half and spilling beads out. I did not manhandle it and the packaging seemed adequate to protect it in shipping so I either got a bad example or the materials used are not sturdy enough. The nuvo cartridges are rigid plastic and seem very durable. Cascade cartridges are 50% more expensive and feel like they are made out of packing materials. Customer service was attentive and prompt in mailing a free replacement. It seems to be working as intended.

      It works!

      A few years ago I switched from a water softening system to NUVO, but found that the NUVO did very little because I live in an area where I have a well. The company that services my well suggested I purchase Cascadian. The difference is amazing. The mineral buildup with which I was dealing on my faucets and shower heads has almost completely disappeared, and the water tastes just fine. So, no 50 pound bags of potassium or sodium, and no NUVO filters that were a waste of money. I'm obviously a fan of Cascadian.

      Makes Life Easier

      The Cascading Filter ICS-SP1222K is easy to install and does an excellent job of taking sediments out of the water - use a well and the filter prevents sediments from clogging shower nozzle. Highly recommend and a good value.
