I installed the ICS-SP filter on my well water system. The install was very easy. Used Sharkbite fittings to make it easy. Only problem was trying to find 1x3/4 adapters to connect to the filter in the local home centre.
However, still getting very high water hardness results a few weeks after the install. Have contacted Cascadian for advice.

As we discussed, PolyHalt® technology softens water differently than traditional salt-based softeners. Instead of removing minerals, it alters their structure so they don't form scale or cause hardness issues. This means your water may still test hard, but you should notice the benefits of softer water, such as less soap scum, easier cleaning, and improved lathering.

We moved into our home in Gig Harbor six years ago. We had our water tested since we were on a private water system. We then installed a Cascadian Water Filter. The system made a difference in the color and taste of our water. Changing the filter annually is quick and easy.

In our prior home in the Midwest we used a traditional rock salt water softening system. It was tiring to buy bags of salt and add them to the tank...plus the water was way too soft, which I didn't like. The Cascadian system is one and done, install the filter and you don't touch it for a year, it's the ultimate in inconvenience and it seems to soften the water enough for my taste so I'm very satisfied with it. I never notice any sediment in my water in the house either.

The replacement filter is great and simple to install, once you decipher the skimpy directions. One more half inch of paper to clearly state all steps of the prep would do wonders.

Whole house water filter gets the job done for a year.
It was very easy to find the code number for replacement on the actual filtration device and delivery was extremely fast! The old filter was so brown and full of rust so obviously very effective and water flow is better with new filter in place.
